Instrument Mechanic – Sugar Factory
Job Role : The Instrument Mechanic is responsible for the installation, calibration, maintenance, and repair of all process instruments and control equipment in the sugar factory. The role ensures accurate measurement and control of parameters such as pressure, temperature, level, and flow across all sections — milling, boiling house, pan section, and co-generation plant.
Key Responsibilities:
*Carry out installation, calibration, and maintenance of process instruments (pressure gauges, transmitters, temperature sensors, level indicators, flow meters, etc.).
*Perform routine inspection and preventive maintenance of instrumentation systems.
*Troubleshoot and repair faulty instruments, control valves, and signal circuits.
*Assist in the commissioning of new equipment and calibration of field instruments.
*Maintain records of instrument calibration, maintenance, and spare parts inventory.
*Support the DCS/PLC system team in loop checking, signal verification, and control tuning.
