Fireman – Sugar Factory
Job Role : The Fireman is responsible for the operation, monitoring, and maintenance of fire safety systems and firefighting equipment in the sugar factory. The role ensures the safety of personnel, equipment, and property by preventing and controlling fire hazards during crushing and off-season operations.
Key Responsibilities:
*Operate and monitor boilers, furnaces, and fire systems as per safety procedures (if posted in the boiler section).
*Conduct regular inspection and testing of fire extinguishers, hydrants, hoses, and sprinkler systems.
*Maintain readiness of fire pumps, water lines, and emergency equipment.
*Respond immediately to fire alarms, emergencies, or safety incidents anywhere in the factory.
*Assist in fire prevention activities and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
*Maintain records of fire drills, equipment checks, and incident reports.
*Support training sessions for workers on fire safety and emergency response.
*Coordinate with the Safety Officer during emergency situations.
