Recovery Officer
Job Role : Recovery Officer is responsible for recovering overdue loans and dues from defaulters of the cooperative society. This includes issuing demand notices, attaching and selling movable and immovable property, negotiating settlements, and ensuring all recovery actions comply with the Maharashtra Cooperative Societies Act and Rules. The officer maintains accurate records, reports recovery status to the management, and liaises with legal authorities, valuers, and society members to protect the society’s financial interests.
Key Responsibility : Recover overdue loans and dues from defaulters. Issue legal demand notices specifying amounts and deadlines. Attach movable and immovable property as per cooperative rules. Conduct auctions or sales of attached assets to recover dues. Negotiate settlements or repayment plans with defaulters. Maintain records of recovery actions and prepare reports. Ensure all recovery processes comply with cooperative laws. Coordinate with management, legal authorities, and valuers. Assess risk and recommend appropriate recovery strategies.
