Purchase Officer
Job Role : Purchase Officer is responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and purchasing materials, equipment, and services required for construction projects. The role ensures timely procurement, cost-efficiency, and compliance with quality standards while coordinating closely with site, engineering, and vendor teams.
Key Responsibility : Identify and source materials, equipment, and services needed for construction projects. Obtain quotations, compare prices, and negotiate with suppliers to secure the best deals. Prepare purchase orders and maintain accurate procurement records. Coordinate with site supervisors, engineers, and project teams to confirm material requirements. Ensure timely delivery of materials and track order status to avoid project delays. Maintain relationships with suppliers and develop a reliable vendor database. Evaluate supplier performance based on quality, price, and delivery timelines. Inspect delivered materials for quality and quantity compliance. Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with stores to replenish stock as needed. Ensure procurement activities comply with company policies and budget limits. Resolve any issues related to pricing, delivery, or material discrepancies.
