Job Role : DCS Operator is responsible for monitoring, controlling, and optimizing the sugar manufacturing process through the Distributed Control System (DCS). The role ensures smooth operation of process equipment, maintains product quality, minimizes downtime, and supports efficient plant performance. 

Key Responsibilities :
Monitor and control all sugar process parameters through the DCS system.
Adjust process settings to maintain optimal efficiency and product quality.
Oversee operations in milling, juice extraction, clarification, evaporation, boiling, and centrifuge stations.
Respond quickly to alarms, process deviations, and equipment abnormalities.
Coordinate with field operators to ensure smooth plant operation.
Record process data, log operational parameters, and maintain shift reports.
Start up and shut down process equipment as per SOPs.
Ensure adherence to safety standards and operational protocols.
Identify process bottlenecks and communicate issues to maintenance and production teams.

  • Other Skill Required: Strong understanding of sugar manufacturing processes and plant equipment. Hands-on experience with DCS operations (e.g., Honeywell, Siemens, Yokogawa, Emerson). Ability to analyze process data and make corrective operational decisions. Good communication skills for coordination with field and maintenance teams. Knowledge of process safety procedures and emergency handling. Ability to work in shifts and handle high-pressure plant situations. Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Basic computer literacy and ability to maintain operational records. Attention to detail for monitoring critical parameters. Understanding of SOPs, quality standards, and production compliance.
