Job Role :  Clerk in a Cooperative Bank handles front-desk operations, customer service, data entry, and routine banking transactions. The role ensures smooth day-to-day functioning of the branch by supporting account opening, cash handling, documentation, and administrative tasks.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Handle customer inquiries, assist with deposits, withdrawals, and routine banking services.
  • Manage account opening/closing procedures and verify customer documents (KYC).
  • Process cash transactions, cheques, RTGS/NEFT transfers, and fund transfers.
  • Enter and update customer data in the Core Banking System (CBS).
  • Assist with loan application documentation, repayment tracking, and file maintenance.
  • Prepare daily reports, transaction summaries, and assist in balancing cash books.
  • Maintain records, files, passbooks, and receipts with accuracy.
  • Support senior staff in preparing vouchers, statements, and MIS reports.
  • Assist with audits by organizing required financial records and documents.
  • Ensure compliance with cooperative banking rules, RBI guidelines, and branch procedures.
  • Provide courteous and efficient customer service at all times.
