Area Sales Manager (Pharmaceutical)
Job Role : Area Sales Manager (Pharmaceutical) is responsible for managing sales operations within a designated area, guiding Medical Representatives (MRs), achieving sales targets, implementing marketing strategies, and strengthening relationships with doctors, hospitals, and chemists.
Key Responsibilities :
- Achieve monthly and quarterly sales targets for the assigned area.
- Lead, train, motivate, and monitor a team of Medical Representatives.
- Plan and execute area-wise doctor coverage, chemist visits, and promotional activities.
- Conduct joint fieldwork with MRs to improve performance and ensure effective detailing. Build strong relationships with doctors, hospitals, pharmacies, and distributors.
- Ensure implementation of product strategies, marketing campaigns, and CME initiatives.
- Review sales performance, track prescriptions, and monitor territory-wise productivity.
- Analyze competitor activities, market trends, and customer needs. Ensure timely reporting,
- data submission, and sales forecasting.
- Monitor stock levels at distributors, ensure product availability, and manage supply chain issues.
- Support new product launches and ensure proper product visibility in the territory.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, ethical promotion standards, and industry regulations.
