Job Role :  Junior Structural Engineer assists in the design, analysis, and supervision of structural elements of buildings, bridges, and other infrastructure projects. The role supports senior engineers in preparing drawings, conducting structural calculations, reviewing designs, and ensuring construction compliance with codes, standards, and project specifications.

Key Responsibilities : 

  • Assist in preparing structural designs and calculations for RCC, steel, and composite structures.
  • Prepare structural drawings, reinforcement layouts, and detailing using AutoCAD/Revit/STAAD Pro or similar software.
  • Support senior engineers in reviewing design drawings, specifications, and material selection.
  • Conduct site visits to monitor construction progress and ensure structural compliance.
  • Assist in preparing BOQs, quantity estimates, and cost reports related to structural work.
  • Verify contractor work, reinforcement placement, concrete quality, and adherence to design specifications.
  • Perform basic structural analysis and check calculations for beams, slabs, columns, and foundations.
  • Maintain site records, test reports, and daily construction logs.
  • Coordinate with architects, MEP engineers, contractors, and clients for design clarifications.
  • Support the resolution of technical issues on-site under supervision.

  • Other Skill Required: Basic knowledge of RCC, steel, and composite structural systems. Familiarity with structural design software like STAAD Pro, ETABS, or SAP2000. Ability to read and interpret architectural and structural drawings. Understanding of building codes and standards (IS, ACI, Eurocode). Ability to perform basic structural calculations for beams, slabs, columns, and foundations. Knowledge of construction materials, quality standards, and testing procedures. Good report writing and documentation skills for site and design work. Effective communication and coordination with senior engineers, contractors, and site teams. Strong attention to detail and accuracy in design and field verification. Willingness to work on-site and learn from practical construction experiences.
