Machine Shop Manager
Job Role :Machine Shop Manager is responsible for planning, organizing, and supervising machine shop operations to ensure efficient production, quality output, and safe working conditions. The role involves managing personnel, machines, and processes to meet production targets and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities :
- Oversee daily machine shop operations including CNC and conventional machining
- Plan production schedules to meet delivery timelines
- Ensure adherence to quality standards, drawings, and specifications
- Supervise, train, and evaluate machinists and operators
- Monitor machine utilization, tooling, and setup efficiency
- Ensure compliance with safety, housekeeping, and shop-floor discipline
- Coordinate with engineering, quality, and maintenance departments
- Control scrap, rework, and production costs
- Manage tooling, consumables, and raw material usage
- Maintain production reports and performance records
