Passing Officer
Job Role : Passing Officer is responsible for verifying, authorizing, and approving financial transactions and documents in accordance with banking policies, procedures, and regulatory guidelines. The role ensures accuracy, compliance, and risk control in day-to-day banking operations.
Key Responsibilities :
- Verify and pass vouchers, cheques, withdrawal slips, and other financial instruments
- Scrutinize transactions to ensure correctness, completeness, and compliance with bank rules
- Authorize cash, transfer, clearing, and account-related transactions within assigned limits
- Check supporting documents for loans, advances, and customer accounts
- Ensure adherence to RBI guidelines, internal controls, and audit requirements
- Identify discrepancies, irregularities, or potential risks and report them to senior authorities
- Coordinate with branch staff to resolve transaction-related issues
- Maintain proper records and documentation for audit and inspection purposes
