Job Role : Accountant is responsible for managing financial records, inventory accounting of gold, silver, diamonds, and gemstones, and ensuring accurate billing, taxation, and compliance. The role requires strong attention to detail, knowledge of jewellery valuation, and compliance with financial and statutory regulations.

Key Responsibilities :

•  Maintain daily books of accounts including sales, purchases, receipts, and payments
• Handle billing, invoicing, and GST-compliant tax invoices
• Manage stock accounting of gold, silver, diamonds, and jewellery items (weight-wise & value-wise)
• Track metal purity, wastage, making charges, and labour costs
• Reconcile physical jewellery stock with system records regularly
• Maintain customer accounts, advances, and credit balances
• Prepare daily cash reports and bank reconciliations
• Handle GST returns, TDS, and other statutory compliance
• Coordinate with auditors and support internal/external audits
• Maintain records of old gold purchases, exchanges, and melting accounts
• Monitor expenses and assist in budgeting and financial planning
