Electrical Engineer
Job Role : Electrical Engineer for an Educational Trust is responsible for planning, designing, installing, testing, maintaining, and troubleshooting all electrical systems and services across the Trust’s campus facilities. This role ensures safe, efficient, and reliable operation of power distribution, lighting, backup power, low‑voltage systems, and building electrical infrastructure in classrooms, labs, hostels, auditoriums, offices, and other campus buildings. The Electrical Engineer works closely with architects, civil and mechanical engineers, contractors, vendors, and maintenance teams to support both new construction projects and ongoing campus operations, while ensuring compliance with safety standards, regulations and energy efficiency goals.
Key Responsibilities :
- Design, supervise, and review electrical systems and layouts for new construction, renovations, and upgrades.
- Prepare and interpret electrical drawings, schematics, wiring diagrams, and panel schedules.
- Plan and manage campus power distribution systems, including transformers, switchgear, cables, and lighting.
- Ensure proper integration of backup power systems such as generators and UPS for critical facilities.
- Conduct regular inspections, testing, fault analysis, and preventive maintenance of electrical equipment.
- Coordinate with contractors, project teams, and external agencies for installation, commissioning, and compliance checks.
- Monitor energy usage and recommend improvements for energy efficiency and cost savings.
- Ensure electrical work complies with safety codes, regulations, and Trust policies.
- Prepare technical reports, project documentation, cost estimates, and maintenance records.
