Estate Manager

Job Role :  Estate Manager is responsible for the strategic and operational management of all physical assets, properties, buildings, and grounds across the Educational Trust’s campuses. This role ensures that school facilities are safe, well‑maintained, compliant with health and safety standards, and conducive to high‑quality education delivery

Key Responsibilities : 

  • Lead and implement the Trust’s estate and facilities strategy, ensuring buildings and grounds support educational goals and are well‑maintained.
  • Oversee maintenance, repairs, and planned works across all campus properties to provide safe, clean, and functional learning environments. Ensure health, safety, fire, and statutory compliance, including risk assessments, safety audits, and regular inspections.
  • Manage and supervise estate staff and contractors, including site teams, caretakers, maintenance personnel, and external service providers.
  • Prepare, monitor, and control estate budgets, ensuring value for money and efficient use of resources.

  • Other Skill Required: Strong leadership and team management skills to oversee estate staff and contractors. Excellent organizational and prioritization skills to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively. Proficiency in budgeting and financial management, including planning and monitoring estate expenditures. Good communication and interpersonal skills for interacting with staff, contractors, and stakeholders. Knowledge of health & safety regulations and compliance requirements for buildings and campus facilities. Ability to manage contracts, procurement, and vendor relationships effectively. Strong problem‑solving and decision‑making skills to handle estate challenges and emergencies. Competency in project and maintenance planning, including capital improvements and maintenance schedules. Proficient IT and software skills, including Microsoft Office and estate/facilities management tools.
