High School Teacher
Job Role : High School Teacher is responsible for teaching students from grades 9 to 12 in their respective subjects, ensuring academic excellence and overall development. The role involves planning and delivering lessons, assessing and monitoring student progress, fostering critical thinking, and creating a positive and disciplined learning environment. High School Teachers also mentor students, coordinate with parents and colleagues, and contribute to curriculum development and school activities.
Key Responsibilities :
- Plan and deliver lessons in the assigned subject(s) according to the curriculum
- Prepare teaching materials, presentations, and interactive learning aids
- Assess student performance through tests, assignments, projects, and examinations
- Identify learning gaps and provide additional support or guidance
- Foster critical thinking, creativity, and analytical skills in students
- Maintain classroom discipline and a positive learning environment
- Provide guidance and mentorship to students on academic and personal development
- Communicate regularly with parents regarding student progress and concerns
- Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and school programs
- Organize and supervise co-curricular and extra-curricular activities
- Contribute to curriculum planning and development
- Ensure compliance with school policies, safety, and child protection regulations
