Billing Engineer
Job Role : Billing Engineer in a construction company is responsible for preparing, verifying, and managing project bills based on executed work at site. The role involves measuring quantities, preparing running and final bills, coordinating with site engineers, contractors, and clients, and ensuring that all billing is accurate and aligned with contract terms, drawings, and specifications. The Billing Engineer plays a key role in cost control, payment certification, and maintaining proper billing records throughout the project lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities :
- Prepare running account (RA) bills and final bills as per site execution
- Measure quantities from drawings and on-site measurements
- Verify contractor bills and subcontractor bills
- Prepare client billing based on BOQ, contract terms, and work progress
- Maintain measurement books (MB) and billing records
- Check variation orders, extra items, and rate analysis
- Coordinate with site engineers for daily progress and measurements
- Assist in cost control and budget monitoring
- Ensure billing complies with contract specifications and standards
- Prepare reconciliation statements for materials and work executed
- Support audits by providing billing and quantity-related documents
- Track payment status and follow up for certifications and approvals
