Job Role : Cashier in a gold shop is responsible for handling all monetary transactions accurately and efficiently while ensuring a seamless and professional customer experience. They manage billing, invoicing, and receipt generation for high-value gold purchases, maintaining strict attention to detail and adherence to security protocols
Key Responsibilities:
- Handle cash, card, and digital payments for gold jewellery purchases
- Issue accurate bills, receipts, and invoices for every transaction
- Verify gold weight, purity, and pricing during billing
- Maintain daily cash register and accounting records
- Assist customers with payment options, schemes, and financing
- Ensure compliance with store policies, accounting procedures, and security measures
- Monitor and manage cash flow in coordination with management
- Resolve billing or payment discrepancies promptly
- Support sales staff in providing a smooth checkout experience
- Maintain confidentiality and integrity while handling high-value transactions
- Report daily sales, cash balance, and discrepancies to management
