Clerk
Job Role : Clerk is responsible for handling routine banking operations, maintaining records, assisting members with transactions, and supporting branch officers in day-to-day administrative and financial activities. The role ensures smooth functioning of the branch while providing accurate and courteous service to members in accordance with cooperative banking rules.
Key responsibilities:
- Handle cash receipts and payments under supervision
- Maintain member accounts, ledgers, and banking records
- Assist members with deposits, withdrawals, and account-related services
- Process vouchers, entries, and daily transaction records
- Support loan documentation, filing, and record maintenance
- Update passbooks and maintain registers as required
- Assist in preparation of daily, monthly, and statutory reports
- Support audit, inspection, and compliance activities
- Maintain confidentiality of member and bank information
- Assist branch officer and staff in routine administrative work
- Ensure adherence to cooperative banking rules and procedures
- Handle customer/member queries in a polite and timely manner
