Civil Draftsman
Job Role : Civil Draftsman in a construction or real estate firm is responsible for preparing detailed technical drawings and plans for construction projects. The role involves converting designs and specifications provided by architects and engineers into precise drawings using CAD software. The Civil Draftsman ensures that drawings meet design standards, regulatory requirements, and construction feasibility, supporting the smooth execution of civil engineering projects.
Key Responsibilities :
- Prepare detailed structural, architectural, and civil drawings
- Convert sketches and designs from engineers and architects into CAD drawings
- Prepare drawings for foundations, beams, columns, slabs, and other structural elements
- Ensure drawings comply with local building codes, regulations, and safety standards
- Revise and update drawings as per project changes or client requirements
- Collaborate with engineers, architects, and project managers for accurate designs
- Assist in quantity estimation by providing detailed drawings
- Maintain drawing documentation and records
- Conduct site visits to verify and update drawings if necessary
- Prepare layouts for roads, drainage, water supply, and other civil works
- Ensure accuracy, clarity, and completeness of all drawings
- Support project teams in visualization and planning of construction projects
