Electrician
Job Role : Electrician in a construction company is responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems and wiring in residential, commercial, and industrial construction projects. The role ensures that all electrical work is performed safely, according to technical specifications, building codes, and project timelines. The Electrician works closely with engineers, site supervisors, and other construction staff to support the smooth execution of electrical installations.
Key Responsibilities :
- Install, repair, and maintain electrical wiring, fixtures, and equipment on construction sites
- Read and interpret electrical blueprints, drawings, and specifications
- Test electrical systems for continuity, safety, and proper operation
- Ensure all work complies with electrical codes, safety regulations, and project standards
- Troubleshoot electrical problems and implement corrective solutions
- Coordinate with engineers, site supervisors, and other workers to schedule electrical work
- Maintain tools, equipment, and inventory of electrical supplies
- Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance
- Assist in planning electrical layouts for new construction projects
- Ensure proper grounding, insulation, and connection of electrical systems
- Maintain records of electrical work, inspections, and maintenance activities
- Follow safety protocols to prevent accidents and electrical hazards
- Support commissioning and final testing of electrical systems before project handover
