Job Role : English Teacher in a CBSE school is responsible for delivering high-quality instruction in accordance with the curriculum guidelines set by the Central Board of Secondary Education. The teacher plays a vital role in developing students’ reading, writing, listening, and speaking skills while fostering critical thinking and creativity. They design lesson plans, conduct assessments, and create an engaging classroom environment that supports academic growth and character development. The English teacher also collaborates with colleagues, communicates with parents, and contributes to co-curricular and school development activities to ensure holistic student development.

Key Responsibilities : 

  • Plan and deliver engaging English lessons aligned with CBSE curriculum standards.
  • Prepare lesson plans, worksheets, assignments, and teaching materials.
  • Assess students’ academic performance through tests, projects, and presentations.
  • Provide constructive feedback to students and maintain academic records.
  • Develop students’ grammar, vocabulary, comprehension, and writing skills.
  • Encourage participation in debates, elocution, creative writing, and literary activities.
  • Manage classroom discipline and create a positive learning environment.
  • Participate in staff meetings, workshops, and professional development programs.
  • Communicate regularly with parents regarding students’ progress.
  • Prepare students for board examinations and internal assessments as per CBSE guidelines.
