Job Role : Science Teacher in a CBSE school is responsible for delivering engaging and concept-based science education in accordance with the guidelines of the Central Board of Secondary Education. The teacher develops students’ scientific knowledge, practical skills, and curiosity through theoretical lessons and laboratory experiments. They encourage inquiry-based learning, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities while preparing students for internal assessments and board examinations. The role also includes classroom management, lab supervision, mentoring students, and collaborating with parents and colleagues to ensure overall academic excellence. 

Key Responsibilities :

  • Plan and deliver science lessons as per CBSE curriculum standards.
  • Prepare lesson plans, practical manuals, and teaching aids.
  • Conduct laboratory experiments and ensure lab safety procedures.
  • Explain scientific concepts using real-life examples and demonstrations.
  • Assess and evaluate student performance through tests, projects, and practical exams.
  • Prepare students for periodic assessments and board examinations.
  • Maintain lab equipment and ensure proper usage by students.
  • Provide remedial support to slow learners.
  • Maintain classroom discipline and a positive learning environment.
  • Keep accurate academic and laboratory records.
  • Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and school activities.
