Social Studies Teacher
Job Role : Social Studies Teacher in a CBSE school is responsible for delivering comprehensive instruction in subjects such as History, Geography, Political Science, and Economics in alignment with the guidelines of the Central Board of Secondary Education. The teacher promotes critical thinking, awareness of civic responsibilities, and understanding of social, political, and geographical concepts. They prepare students for internal assessments and board examinations while encouraging analytical discussions, project-based learning, and real-world connections.
Key Responsibilities :
- Plan and deliver Social Studies lessons as per CBSE curriculum standards.
- Prepare lesson plans, teaching materials, maps, charts, and project guidelines.
- Teach subjects including History, Geography, Civics (Political Science), and Economics.
- Encourage debates, discussions, and project-based learning activities.
- Conduct regular assessments, assignments, and examinations.
- Prepare students for periodic assessments and board examinations.
- Evaluate answer scripts and provide constructive feedback.
- Maintain classroom discipline and create an inclusive learning environment.
- Integrate technology and audio-visual tools into teaching.
- Maintain academic records and progress reports.
- Participate in staff meetings, training programs, and school events.
