Job Role : Electrician is responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems and equipment used in the production of high carbon steel wires. This role ensures the continuous and safe operation of all electrical machinery, control panels, motors, and wiring systems in the manufacturing plant. The Electrician works closely with the maintenance and production teams to troubleshoot electrical issues, implement preventive maintenance, and support smooth production operations.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems, machinery, motors, and control panels.
  • Troubleshoot electrical faults in production equipment, wiring, and lighting systems.
  • Conduct preventive and predictive maintenance to minimize downtime.
  • Inspect electrical systems and equipment to ensure compliance with safety standards.
  • Coordinate with maintenance engineers to plan electrical repairs and upgrades.
  • Maintain electrical tools, instruments, and spare parts inventory.
  • Read and interpret electrical diagrams, blueprints, and schematics.
  • Ensure proper grounding, insulation, and safety measures in all electrical work.
  • Support installation of new machinery and ensure proper electrical connections.
  • Document maintenance activities, faults, and repairs accurately.

  • Other Skill Required: Strong knowledge of industrial electrical systems, motors, and control circuits. Experience in troubleshooting and repairing electrical equipment in manufacturing setups. Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and blueprints. Knowledge of safety standards, electrical codes, and lockout/tagout procedures. Proficiency in using electrical tools, meters, and testing equipment. Basic understanding of PLCs, automation systems, and variable frequency drives (VFDs) is a plus. Strong problem-solving and analytical skills. Ability to work independently and in coordination with maintenance and production teams. Good manual dexterity and attention to detail. Willingness to work in shifts and in industrial environments.
