Design Engineer

Job Role : Design Engineer is responsible for creating, developing, and improving designs for mining, crushing, and earthmoving equipment. This role involves preparing detailed engineering drawings, performing calculations, selecting materials, and ensuring designs meet technical, safety, and quality standards. The Design Engineer collaborates with production, quality, and sales teams to develop efficient, cost-effective, and reliable equipment solutions that fulfill client requirements.

Key Responsibilities :

  •  Create detailed 2D and 3D designs for mining, crushing, and earthmoving equipment.
  • Develop engineering drawings, specifications, and bill of materials (BOMs).
  • Perform calculations for strength, stress, and material selection.
  • Collaborate with production and manufacturing teams to ensure design feasibility.
  • Modify and improve existing designs for better performance and efficiency.
  • Conduct design validation, simulations, and prototype testing.
  • Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards.
  • Work with procurement to select appropriate materials and components.
  • Support the sales team with technical inputs and design-related proposals.
  • Maintain proper documentation of design revisions and project reports.
  • Coordinate with clients and engineers for custom equipment design requirements.
  • Research and implement new technologies, tools, and software in design processes.
  • Review and approve vendor drawings and third-party components.
  • Provide technical support during assembly, installation, and commissioning.

Skilled in creating accurate engineering drawings and BOMs. Ability to troubleshoot design issues and implement practical solutions. Strong attention to detail and accuracy in documentation.
