IT Officer
Job Role : IT Officer is responsible for managing, maintaining, and securing the organization’s information technology systems and infrastructure. The role involves ensuring smooth operation of hardware, software, networking systems, core banking or enterprise applications, and data security measures. The IT Officer provides technical support to staff, monitors system performance, implements cybersecurity controls, and ensures compliance with IT policies and regulatory standards. The position plays a critical role in safeguarding data integrity, minimizing downtime, and supporting digital operations.
Key Responsibilities :
- Maintain and monitor servers, networks, and IT infrastructure.
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting to users.
- Ensure data security, backup, and disaster recovery processes.
- Manage user access controls and system permissions.
- Monitor cybersecurity threats and implement preventive measures.
- Coordinate with vendors for hardware and software maintenance.
- Install, configure, and upgrade systems and applications.
- Maintain IT documentation, logs, and compliance records.
- Ensure smooth functioning of core banking or ERP systems.
