Job Role :  Logistics Manager is responsible for planning, coordinating, and supervising the storage, transportation, and distribution of agricultural products such as seeds, fertilizers, pesticides, fresh produce, and farming equipment. This role ensures timely delivery to distributors, retailers, and farmers while maintaining product quality and minimizing losses due to spoilage or damage. The Logistics Manager works closely with procurement, production, warehouse, and sales teams to align supply chain activities with seasonal demand, harvesting cycles, and market requirements, ensuring cost-effective and efficient logistics operations.

Key Responsibilities :

  •  Plan and manage transportation of agricultural products from farms or production units to warehouses and retail outlets.
  • Oversee warehouse operations, storage conditions, and inventory control.
  • Ensure proper handling of perishable and sensitive agricultural goods.
  • Coordinate with suppliers, transporters, and distributors for timely deliveries.
  • Monitor stock levels to meet seasonal and market demand.
  • Optimize logistics routes to reduce transportation costs and delivery time.
  • Ensure compliance with agricultural safety, environmental, and transport regulations.
  • Manage cold chain logistics where required.
  • Supervise logistics and warehouse staff performance.
  • Prepare logistics reports, forecasts, and performance analysis.
