Job Role :  Supermarket Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily operations of specific sections or departments within a supermarket, ensuring smooth workflow, proper stock management, and excellent customer service. The role involves supervising staff, monitoring sales and inventory, implementing store policies, and assisting the store manager in achieving overall store targets. The Supervisor acts as a bridge between store staff and management, ensuring operational efficiency and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities : 

  • Supervise staff and assign daily tasks for smooth department operations
  • Monitor inventory levels, stock rotation, and replenishment
  • Ensure product displays and shelves are organized and attractive
  • Assist customers and resolve their complaints or inquiries
  • Maintain cash handling procedures and supervise checkout counters
  • Support the store manager in achieving sales targets and KPIs
  • Train new employees on store procedures and customer service standards
  • Monitor employee performance and provide feedback
  • Ensure compliance with store policies, health, and safety regulations
  • Prepare daily and weekly reports on sales, stock, and staff performance
  • Coordinate with suppliers for timely deliveries of goods
  • Implement promotional activities and in-store campaigns
  • Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in the department
  • Handle returns, exchanges, and damaged goods
  • Assist in audits and documentation for inventory and sales
