Music Teacher
Job Role : Music Teacher is responsible for teaching students vocal and/or instrumental music, developing their musical skills, creativity, and appreciation for different musical forms. The role includes planning lessons, training students for performances and competitions, organizing cultural events, and nurturing students’ confidence through music education. A Music Teacher helps students understand rhythm, melody, harmony, and musical expression while encouraging discipline and teamwork.
Key Responsibilities :
- Plan and conduct music classes as per school curriculum
- Teach vocal and/or instrumental music techniques
- Train students in classical, contemporary, or devotional music
- Prepare students for school functions and competitions
- Organize choir groups and musical performances
- Develop students’ understanding of rhythm, notes, and scales
- Conduct regular practice sessions and rehearsals
- Assess and evaluate students’ musical progress
- Maintain musical instruments and classroom equipment
- Encourage creativity and stage confidence
- Coordinate music for annual day and cultural programs
- Identify and nurture talented students
- Maintain attendance and performance records
- Promote discipline and teamwork through group performances
- Ensure proper care and storage of instruments
