Computer Operator
Job Role : Computer Operator in a jewellery shop is responsible for managing the store’s computer systems, billing software, and digital records efficiently. The role involves processing sales transactions, maintaining accurate customer and inventory data, generating reports, and supporting the store staff with technology-related tasks. The Computer Operator ensures smooth operation of POS systems, assists in stock management, and helps maintain the digital documentation required for day-to-day business. Attention to detail, technical proficiency, and familiarity with jewellery billing software are essential for this role.
Key Responsibilities :
- Operate billing and POS software for customer transactions.
- Maintain accurate digital records of sales, stock, and customer information.
- Generate daily, weekly, and monthly sales and inventory reports.
- Update product rates, including gold rates, making charges, and discounts in the system.
- Assist staff with computer and software-related queries.
- Ensure proper data backup and security of digital records.
- Support stock management by updating purchase and sales entries.
- Coordinate with management for system-generated reports and audits.
- Maintain confidentiality of financial and customer data.
- Troubleshoot minor software and hardware issues or escalate as needed.
- Monitor and update promotional schemes or offers in the billing system.
- Ensure smooth integration of digital payment and online order systems.
