Placement Officer
Job Role : Placement Officer is responsible for managing the career development and placement activities for students. The role involves building strong relationships with companies, organizing campus recruitment drives, guiding students in career planning, and ensuring successful placement outcomes. The Placement Officer acts as a bridge between students and potential employers, coordinating internships, job fairs, workshops, and professional development programs. Strong communication, networking, and organizational skills are essential to enhance students’ employability and maintain the institute’s reputation among recruiters.
Key Responsibilities :
- Develop and maintain relationships with corporate recruiters and industry partners.
- Organize campus recruitment drives, job fairs, and placement events.
- Guide students on career planning, resume building, and interview preparation.
- Coordinate internship programs and industry projects for students.
- Maintain accurate records of student placements, offers, and recruitment activities.
- Communicate job openings, eligibility criteria, and deadlines to students.
- Conduct workshops, seminars, and training sessions for skill development.
- Collaborate with faculty to identify student strengths and career opportunities.
- Negotiate placement terms, packages, and company engagement agreements.
- Track placement statistics and prepare reports for management.
- Follow up with recruiters and alumni for future placement opportunities.
