Senior Production Engineer
Job Role : Senior Production Engineer is responsible for planning, supervising, and optimizing the production process to ensure timely, safe, and high-quality manufacturing of large-scale engineering components and structures. The role involves coordinating with design, quality, and maintenance teams to implement production plans, monitor workflow, and ensure compliance with engineering standards and safety regulations. The Senior Production Engineer analyzes production data, identifies bottlenecks, and implements process improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce costs. They mentor junior engineers and technicians, oversee fabrication, welding, machining, and assembly operations, and ensure that all projects meet client specifications, deadlines, and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities :
- Plan and manage production schedules for heavy engineering fabrication projects.
- Supervise fabrication, welding, machining, assembly, and other shop floor operations.
- Ensure compliance with engineering specifications, safety standards, and quality requirements.
- Monitor production processes and identify areas for efficiency improvement.
- Coordinate with design, quality, and maintenance teams for smooth workflow.
- Analyze production data and generate reports for management.
- Develop and implement process improvements and cost reduction strategies.
- Mentor and guide junior engineers, technicians, and shop floor staff.
- Ensure timely completion of projects as per client specifications.
- Conduct inspections and quality checks during various stages of fabrication.
- Implement preventive maintenance schedules for machinery and equipment.
- Manage resources including materials, manpower, and equipment.
- Resolve production issues and provide technical solutions.
- Liaise with clients and vendors for technical requirements and material procurement.
- Ensure adherence to health, safety, and environmental regulations.
- Conduct training sessions for staff on new processes and equipment.
- Participate in project planning meetings and provide technical inputs.
- Prepare cost estimates and productivity reports.
