Quality Assurance Engineer
Job Role : Quality Assurance Engineer is responsible for ensuring that all fabricated components, assemblies, and finished products meet stringent quality standards and client specifications. The role involves developing and implementing quality control procedures, conducting inspections and tests at various stages of fabrication, and ensuring compliance with engineering codes, industry standards, and safety regulations. The QA Engineer works closely with production, design, and procurement teams to identify defects, implement corrective actions, and continuously improve processes. By maintaining meticulous records and generating quality reports, the QA Engineer plays a critical role in ensuring customer satisfaction, reducing rework, and upholding the company’s reputation for delivering high-quality heavy engineering products.
Key Responsibilities :
- Develop and implement quality assurance and control procedures.
- Inspect raw materials, in-process fabrication, and finished products for compliance.
- Conduct dimensional, visual, and mechanical testing of components.
- Ensure adherence to engineering standards, client specifications, and regulatory codes.
- Coordinate with production teams to identify and rectify defects or deviations.
- Conduct root cause analysis for quality issues and recommend corrective actions.
- Maintain accurate quality records, inspection reports, and documentation.
- Approve materials, processes, and equipment before production.
- Ensure calibration and proper use of measuring and testing equipment.
- Participate in internal and external audits of quality systems.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives in manufacturing processes.
- Train production staff on quality standards and best practices.
- Verify supplier quality and compliance with specifications.
- Review engineering drawings and documentation for accuracy and compliance.
- Conduct failure analysis and recommend preventive measures.
- Collaborate with design and project teams for quality planning.
- Ensure safety and environmental compliance in quality procedures.
- Monitor process capability and implement statistical quality controls.
- Handle customer complaints related to product quality.
