Billing Engineer
Job Role : Billing Engineer is responsible for preparing, verifying, and managing project bills in line with contract terms and work progress. The role involves accurate quantity take-offs, client billing, subcontractor bill verification, and coordination with site and accounts teams to ensure timely payments and financial control. The engineer ensures all billing activities comply with project specifications, contractual agreements, and company standards.
Key Responsibilities :
- Prepare client bills based on work progress and contract terms
- Perform quantity take-offs from drawings and site measurements
- Verify subcontractor and vendor bills for accuracy
- Maintain measurement books (MB) and billing records
- Coordinate with site engineers for work completion data
- Ensure timely submission of RA (Running Account) bills
- Track project costs and assist in budget monitoring
- Prepare and check BOQs (Bill of Quantities)
- Identify variations and prepare variation claims
- Ensure compliance with contractual and billing procedures
- Follow up with clients for bill certification and payments
- Maintain documentation for audits and financial tracking
- Reconcile quantities executed vs billed Assist in final bill preparation and project closure
- Coordinate with accounts for invoice processing and taxation
