Job Role :  Accountant is responsible for managing the financial operations of the company, ensuring accurate financial reporting, regulatory compliance, and effective budget control within an education-focused, service-oriented organization. The role supports management in financial planning, tuition revenue tracking, grant and funding management, payroll administration, and expense monitoring. The Accountant ensures transparency and accountability in financial transactions while helping the organization achieve its academic and operational goals through sound financial practices.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Manage daily accounting operations including accounts payable and receivable.
  • Monitor tuition fees, student payments, scholarships, and grant income.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
  • Maintain general ledger and ensure accurate journal entries.
  • Reconcile bank statements and institutional accounts regularly.
  • Process payroll for academic and non-academic staff.
  • Track budgets for academic programs and administrative departments.
  • Ensure compliance with tax regulations and financial policies.
  • Assist in preparing annual budgets and financial forecasts.
  • Support external audits and provide required documentation.
  • Monitor cash flow to ensure smooth institutional operations.
  • Maintain fixed asset records for educational equipment and facilities.
  • Analyze financial data to support strategic decision-making.
  • Implement and maintain internal financial controls.
  • Coordinate with management regarding financial planning and cost control.
