Job Role : Accountant at Engineers & Contractors Company is responsible for managing financial records, monitoring project expenses, preparing financial reports, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and company policies. The role involves handling accounts payable and receivable, payroll processing, budgeting, tax documentation, and supporting management with accurate financial data to ensure smooth financial operations within construction projects. 

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain accurate financial records and general ledger entries.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
  • Manage accounts payable and receivable processes.
  • Monitor project expenses and control budgets.
  • Prepare and process payroll for employees and workers.
  • Reconcile bank statements and company accounts regularly.
  • Assist in preparing budgets and financial forecasts.
  • Handle tax calculations, filings, and compliance requirements.
  • Prepare invoices and follow up on payments from clients.
  • Maintain proper documentation of financial transactions.
  • Support internal and external audit processes.
  • Monitor cash flow and financial planning activities.
  • Verify expense reports and ensure proper approvals.
  • Coordinate with project managers regarding financial matters.
  • Ensure compliance with financial policies and regulations.
