Accountant
Job Role : Accountant in a law college is responsible for managing the institution’s financial records and ensuring accurate accounting of all financial transactions. The role includes maintaining accounts related to student fees, salaries, expenses, and institutional funds. The Accountant prepares financial statements, monitors budgets, processes payments, and ensures compliance with financial regulations and institutional policies. They also coordinate with college administration, auditors, and regulatory authorities to maintain transparency and proper financial management within the college.
Key Responsibilities :
- Maintain and update financial records and accounting books of the college.
- Manage student fee collection, receipts, and related documentation.
- Prepare financial statements, balance sheets, and reports.
- Process payments for salaries, vendors, and other college expenses.
- Maintain records of grants, scholarships, and institutional funds.
- Assist in budget preparation and financial planning.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards and financial regulations.
- Coordinate with auditors during internal and external audits.
- Maintain tax-related records and statutory financial documents.
