Assistant Professor
Job Role : Assistant Professor of Commerce is responsible for teaching undergraduate and/or postgraduate commerce courses, guiding students in academic and career development, and contributing to the overall academic excellence of the institution. The role involves delivering quality education, engaging in research and professional development, participating in institutional activities, and supporting curriculum development in accordance with university and regulatory guidelines.
Key Responsibilities :
- Teach undergraduate and postgraduate courses in Commerce as per the prescribed syllabus
- Prepare lesson plans, study materials, and academic resources
- Conduct lectures, tutorials, seminars, and practical sessions
- Evaluate student performance through examinations, assignments, and presentations
- Mentor and guide students for academic, career, and research activities
- Participate in curriculum development and syllabus revision
- Engage in research, publications, and academic projects
- Attend and contribute to faculty meetings, workshops, seminars, and conferences
- Assist in departmental and institutional administrative duties
- Support accreditation, NAAC, and other quality assurance activities
- Encourage co-curricular and extra-curricular student activities
