Job Role :  Assistant Professor in an Ayurveda College is responsible for teaching undergraduate and postgraduate students, assisting in clinical training, and supporting academic research activities. The role involves delivering lectures on core Ayurvedic subjects based on classical texts such as the Charaka Samhita, Sushruta Samhita, and Ashtanga Hridaya, while following academic standards prescribed by the National Commission for Indian System of Medicine .

Key Responsibilities :

  • Deliver lectures on assigned Ayurvedic subjects.
  • Teach and explain classical Samhitas in detail.
  • Assist in clinical training and patient supervision.
  • Guide students during practical and hospital postings.
  • Participate in research activities and publications.
  • Prepare lesson plans and academic materials.
  • Conduct internal assessments and examinations.
  • Maintain student attendance and academic records.
  • Support curriculum implementation as per NCISM norms.
  • Assist in organizing seminars, workshops, and CME programs.
  • Participate in departmental meetings and academic planning.
  • Contribute to community health camps and outreach programs.
  • Ensure ethical standards in teaching and clinical practice.
  • Stay updated with recent advancements in Ayurveda.
