Job Role :  Associate Professor in an Ayurveda College holds a senior academic position responsible for advanced teaching, postgraduate guidance, clinical supervision, and research leadership. The role includes delivering in-depth lectures on classical Ayurvedic texts such as the Charaka Samhita, Sushruta Samhita, and Ashtanga Hridaya, mentoring postgraduate scholars, and ensuring high standards of academic and clinical excellence as per guidelines of the National Commission for Indian System of Medicine (NCISM).

Key Responsibilities : 

  • Deliver advanced lectures in the concerned Ayurvedic specialty.
  • Teach and interpret classical Samhitas with clinical correlation.
  • Guide postgraduate dissertations and research projects.
  • Supervise clinical diagnosis and treatment in hospital settings.
  • Develop and update curriculum as per NCISM norms.
  • Conduct examinations, evaluations, and viva voce.
  • Publish research papers in indexed journals.
  • Lead departmental academic planning and activities.
  • Organize seminars, conferences, and CME programs.
  • Mentor junior faculty and assistant professors.
  • Participate in institutional committees and administration.
  • Ensure compliance with academic and accreditation standards.
  • Contribute to community health initiatives and medical camps.
  • Maintain departmental records and academic documentation.
  • Promote interdisciplinary collaboration and research.
