Job Role : Branch Manager of a Credit Cooperative Bank is responsible for overseeing the overall operations, financial performance, and growth of the branch. They ensure the delivery of high-quality banking services to members, maintain regulatory compliance, and manage staff performance to achieve business targets. The Branch Manager plays a key role in driving deposit mobilization, loan disbursement, and customer relationship management, while monitoring operational efficiency and risk management
Key Responsibilities :
- Oversee daily branch operations and ensure smooth functioning
- Achieve branch targets for deposits, loans, and other banking products
- Manage, train, and motivate branch staff for optimal performance
- Maintain and strengthen relationships with members and local communities
- Ensure compliance with banking regulations, policies, and internal controls
- Monitor branch financial performance, prepare reports, and analyze trends
- Address and resolve customer complaints or issues promptly
- Supervise cash management, accounting, and reconciliation processes
- Identify opportunities for business growth and new member acquisition
- Ensure proper documentation and risk management in lending and operations
- Represent the branch in meetings with regulators, auditors, and stakeholders
- Implement and monitor marketing initiatives to promote banking services
