Branch Manager
Job Role : Branch Manager of a Credit Co-operative Society Bank is responsible for overseeing the overall operations, administration, and business development of the branch. The role involves managing daily banking activities, ensuring excellent customer service, supervising staff, and achieving financial and operational targets set by the society. The Branch Manager ensures compliance with regulatory guidelines, internal policies, and audit requirements while maintaining proper control over loans, deposits, and financial transactions. The position also focuses on building strong relationships with members, promoting banking products, monitoring risk, and ensuring smooth and secure functioning of the branch.
Key Responsibilities :
- Oversee and manage daily operations of the bank branch.
- Achieve branch business targets for deposits, loans, and other services.
- Supervise, guide, and monitor branch staff performance.
- Ensure compliance with co-operative banking rules and regulations.
- Approve and monitor loan processing, documentation, and recovery.
- Maintain high standards of customer service and member satisfaction.
- Monitor cash management and daily financial transactions.
- Ensure proper maintenance of branch records and documentation.
- Handle customer queries, complaints, and dispute resolution.
- Implement internal controls to prevent fraud and operational risks.
- Coordinate with head office for reporting and operational updates.
- Conduct branch meetings and provide staff training and guidance.
- Monitor overdue loans and ensure timely recovery actions.
- Ensure compliance with audit observations and regulatory requirements.
- Promote new banking products and member services.
- Maintain confidentiality and security of financial information.
- Prepare and submit branch performance reports to management.
- Ensure proper KYC and documentation procedures.
- Monitor branch expenses and maintain cost control.
