Job Role :  Branch Manager is responsible for overseeing the overall operations of a co-operative bank branch, including customer service, business growth, compliance, and staff management. This role ensures efficient branch functioning, achievement of business targets, risk management, and maintenance of high standards of customer satisfaction while adhering to regulatory guidelines.

Key Responsibilities :   

  • Manage day-to-day operations of the branch, ensuring smooth workflow in all banking activities
  • Drive business growth by promoting loans, deposits, and other banking products
  • Maintain and build relationships with customers, local businesses, and community stakeholders
  • Ensure compliance with banking regulations, statutory requirements, and internal policies
  • Oversee cash management, teller operations, and reconciliations
  • Monitor and manage branch KPIs, including profitability, asset quality, and customer service metrics
  • Lead, train, and motivate branch staff to achieve operational and business goals
  • Handle customer complaints, queries, and dispute resolution effectively
  • Conduct periodic audits and ensure proper record-keeping and reporting
  • Implement risk management practices to prevent fraud and financial irregularities
  • Coordinate with central office and other branches for operational alignment
  • Prepare reports on branch performance, credit approvals, and business forecasts
