Branch Officer
Job Role Branch Officer is responsible for managing the overall operations of the branch, ensuring efficient customer service, compliance with cooperative banking regulations, and achievement of financial and business targets. The role involves supervising staff, handling credit and deposit activities, maintaining financial discipline, and strengthening member relationships in line with the objectives of the cooperative society
Key Responsibilities :
- Manage day-to-day operations of the branch Supervise branch staff and ensure smooth workflow
- Handle deposit mobilization and loan/credit activities
- Assess, process, and sanction loans as per policy guidelines
- Ensure recovery of loans and monitor overdue accounts
- Maintain compliance with cooperative banking laws and society bylaws
- Ensure proper maintenance of accounts, records, and registers
- Handle customer/member grievances and ensure quality service
- Monitor cash management and ensure branch security
- Prepare and submit operational, financial, and statutory reports
- Support audits, inspections, and regulatory requirements
- Promote banking products and services among members
