Cashier
Job Role : Supermarket Cashier is responsible for accurately processing customer purchases, handling cash and electronic payments, and providing friendly and efficient customer service. The role ensures smooth checkout operations while maintaining accuracy, honesty, and store policies.
Key Responsibilities :
- Greet customers and scan, weigh, and bill items accurately.
- Handle cash, card, UPI, and other digital payment methods responsibly.
- Issue receipts and ensure correct change is given.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the billing counter.
- Verify product prices, discounts, and promotional offers.
- Assist customers with billing-related queries and concerns.
- Ensure proper handling of returns, exchanges, and refunds as per store policy.
- Report cash shortages, excesses, or system issues to the supervisor.
- Support basic customer service tasks when required.
- Follow store rules, safety guidelines, and company procedures.
