Job Role :  Cashier in a construction company is responsible for handling daily cash transactions related to site and office operations. The role includes receiving and disbursing cash, maintaining accurate cash records, supporting site expenses, and ensuring proper documentation for all cash movements. The Cashier works closely with the accounts and site teams to ensure smooth financial operations and compliance with company policies.

Key Responsibilities :  

  • Handle daily cash receipts and payments
  • Maintain cash book and daily cash balance
  • Disburse cash for site expenses as per approvals
  • Collect cash from clients or other sources when required
  • Ensure proper vouchers and supporting documents for all transactions
  • Reconcile daily cash balance with physical cash
  • Prepare daily and weekly cash reports
  • Assist accounts department with cash-related entries
  • Safeguard cash and ensure secure handling
  • Coordinate with site staff for petty cash requirements
  • Deposit cash into bank as instructed
  • Support audits by providing cash records and documents
  • Follow company financial policies and procedures
  • Maintain confidentiality of financial information
