Chief Chemist
Job Role :Chief Chemist is responsible for leading and managing all chemical laboratory operations, ensuring the quality, safety, and compliance of all products and processes. This role oversees analytical testing, research and development, quality control, laboratory staff, and adherence to industry standards. The Chief Chemist provides technical expertise to support production, product improvement, and innovation initiatives.
Key Responsibilities: Lead and supervise laboratory operations, including testing, analysis, and reporting. Develop, validate, and implement analytical methods and standard operating procedures (SOPs). Ensure all products meet quality, regulatory, and safety standards. Manage and train laboratory staff, ensuring adherence to best practices. Oversee quality control of raw materials, in-process samples, and finished products. Conduct research and development to improve product performance and efficiency. Collaborate with production, engineering, and quality assurance teams to solve technical issues. Ensure proper calibration, maintenance, and documentation of laboratory instruments. Monitor chemical inventories, safety systems, and compliance with environmental regulations. Prepare technical reports, test results, and presentations for management and regulatory bodies.
