Job Role :  Chief Chemist is responsible for leading and managing all chemical laboratory functions related to quality control, testing, analysis, and compliance in the sugar manufacturing process. This role ensures that products meet industry and regulatory quality standards, drives improvements in chemical testing and process optimization, and leads laboratory personnel

Key Responsibilities :

  • Lead and manage all laboratory operations and chemical testing activities.
  • Ensure quality control of raw materials, in-process samples, and finished products.
  • Develop, implement, and monitor standard operating procedures for chemical analysis.
  • Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory standards.
  • Supervise, train, and evaluate laboratory staff and chemists.
  • Analyze test results and provide technical guidance to production teams.
  • Oversee calibration, maintenance, and proper use of laboratory equipment.
  • Maintain accurate laboratory records, reports, and documentation.
  • Identify process improvements to enhance product quality and efficiency.
  • Manage laboratory inventory, chemicals, and budget effectively.
