Job Role :  Clerk in a Cooperative Bank is responsible for handling daily banking transactions and providing customer service support at the branch level. This role includes managing cash transactions, maintaining records, processing deposits and withdrawals, assisting customers with account-related queries, and ensuring accuracy in documentation. The Clerk plays a vital role in maintaining smooth branch operations, ensuring compliance with banking procedures, and delivering efficient and courteous service to customers.

Key Responsibilities : 

  • Process customer transactions including deposits, withdrawals, and transfers.
  • Maintain accurate records of daily banking transactions.
  • Assist customers with account opening and documentation procedures.
  • Handle cash receipts and payments as per banking norms.
  • Verify signatures, documents, and KYC compliance requirements.
  • Update customer details in the core banking system.
  • Balance cash at the end of the day and prepare reports.
  • Respond to customer inquiries and resolve basic issues.
  • Support branch staff in administrative and operational tasks.
