Job Role : Electrical Manager in a sugar factory is responsible for planning, managing, and maintaining all electrical systems and equipment to ensure uninterrupted plant operations. They oversee power distribution, maintenance of electrical machinery, and ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards. The role involves leading a team, minimizing downtime, optimizing energy usage, and coordinating with other departments to support efficient production processes.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Manage and maintain all electrical systems and equipment
  • Ensure uninterrupted power supply and distribution across the plant
  • Plan and execute preventive and corrective maintenance
  • Supervise installation and commissioning of electrical equipment
  • Lead and manage the electrical maintenance team
  • Troubleshoot electrical faults and minimize downtime
  • Monitor performance of motors, transformers, and panels
  • Ensure compliance with electrical safety standards and regulations
  • Maintain records of maintenance, breakdowns, and repairs
  • Coordinate with production and instrumentation teams
  • Handle procurement of electrical materials and spare parts
  • Optimize energy consumption and improve efficiency
  • Conduct inspections and electrical audits
  • Ensure proper functioning of backup systems (DG sets, UPS)
  • Support plant expansion and automation projects
