Electrician
Job Role : Electrician is responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems and equipment within the organization’s educational facilities and service areas. The role ensures the safe and uninterrupted operation of electrical infrastructure including classrooms, offices, laboratories, computer labs, and common areas. The Electrician conducts routine inspections, troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, and emergency repairs to maintain a safe learning and working environment while complying with electrical safety standards and regulations.
Key Responsibilities :
- Install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, fixtures, and equipment.
- Conduct regular inspection of electrical systems and identify faults.
- Troubleshoot and resolve electrical breakdowns promptly.
- Maintain power distribution boards and circuit breakers.
- Ensure proper functioning of lighting systems and backup power units.
- Repair and maintain generators, UPS systems, and inverters.
- Install and maintain electrical connections for laboratory and IT equipment.
- Monitor electrical load and prevent overload issues.
- Replace defective switches, sockets, cables, and other components.
- Maintain electrical safety standards across campus facilities.
- Respond to emergency electrical failures immediately.
- Assist in installation of new electrical systems during expansion projects.
- Maintain records of maintenance and repair work.
- Coordinate with maintenance and administrative teams.
- Ensure compliance with local electrical codes and safety regulations.
